Twitter API slowness
We’re currently seeing some slow response times from the Twitter API, leading to delays with updates being posted to Twitter. This should just be a temporary issue, apologies for any hassle this causes you.
Update: Looks like things have returned back to normal now, fingers crossed ;)
current network issues
We seem to be experiencing some network issues that are affecting both the availability of the twitterfeed.com website and the feed processing and publishing. We have contacted our hosting provider for support and more information. Apologies for the inconvenience caused!
Update: It turned out to be a problem with one of the DNS nameservers used by the hosting provider. Things turned back to normal yesterday afternoon, and although there was a large backlog of feeds to be processed, all should be back to normal now.
Twitter API problems
We’re currently seeing very slow response times from the Twitter API, leading to delays with updates being posted to Twitter. It seems the Twitter team are aware of the issue, so should hopefully just be a temporary issue. Apologies for any hassle this causes you.
Update: Looks like the Twitter API has recovered now, so feed processing should be catching up over the next hour or so.
Facebook temporarily disabled
Facebook have today temporarily restricted the Twitterfeed application from posting content, due to (apparently) an automated system noticing too much negative user feedback. We have appealed this immediately and are waiting to hear back from Facebook. Apologies for the inconvenience, we’re hoping this decision will be reversed quickly, but there’s little else we can do right now until we hear back from Facebook.
Update: Although we haven’t yet received an official response from Facebook, it looks like all Twitterfeed functionality has been restored. We’ll update this post once we’re sure, and have received an official reply from Facebook.
Twitter API trouble again
It looks like we’re getting a very high number of time-out errors from the Twitter API at the moment, which is causing delays with posts to Twitter. Again, as yesterday, this should be temporary, and things should return to normal once the Twitter API has recovered. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Update: Twitter have fixed the API issues, and things should be getting back to normal now.
High error rates from Twitter API
We’re currently seeing elevated error rates being returned from the Twitter API, which means that some posts to Twitter may be delayed. Hopefully this will be temporary and should return to normal once Twitter fix the issue. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Update: This issue now seems to be resolved.
web site issues
The twitterfeed web site appears to be unavailable to most users, and feed processing is unusually slow - we’re in the process of trying to determine the cause of these issues. We’ll update this post as we get more information, apologies for the inconvenience!
UPDATE: The site is back now, and the feed backlog has started to catch up. First indications are the problem was caused by a networking issue at the hosting provider, but we’ll get more details from them and will do what we can to avoid this happening again. Sorry for the hassle!
Facebook API is slow
It looks like the Facebook API is very slow at the moment (see also http://developers.facebook.com/live_status/), so you may see some delays with your updates being posted to Facebook. Should be temporary, we’ll keep an eye on things..
Update: looks like the Facebook issues are solved now
problems with posting to twitter
There seem to be problems with posting to the twitter API, which means you may see delays with your updates appearing on twitter. We haven’t had any word from twitter themselves yet, and will keep an eye on things.
UPDATE: It looks like the twitter API issue has been solved, and feeds are in the process of catching up with processing, so hopefully every should be back up to date within the next hour or so.
